Tuba Teachers
The tuba is widely known as the largest and most lowest pitched of all of the brass instruments. Like with the trombone or trumpet teachers will demonstrate how you must vibrate your lips against the mouthpiece to produce a sound.
Tuba teachers are steadily gaining more and more business as the tuba becomes more popular; it is a relatively modern addition to the symphony orchestra first appearing in the mid 19th century. Tubas can be found and taught by teachers in a variety of pitches although the most common are F, E-flat, B-flat and C.
Your new teachers will demonstrate how to correctly hold your tuba, the tuba is most commonly placed on the lap for concert use although versions exist with the bell pointing in a different direction and these are perfect for use when marching. Tuba teachers will demonstrate how the music for the instrument is written in the bass clef at concert pitch and there is usually only one tuba per orchestra as it produces such a clear and resonant tone.
Your teachers will also be able to help you with things such as tuning and basic maintenance, it is vital that it is kept polished so it does not tarnish. Whatever types of teachers you require we are certain that you will find some listed on our website for you to contact as and when you have the time.
