Trombone Teachers

The trombone is one of the most easily recognisable of the brass instruments and there are a number of brass teachers who will help you learn to play it. Trombone teachers will help you understand and learn more about their instrument, it is a lip-reed aerophone and sound is produced by the oscillations of the players lips on the mouthpiece causing the air to vibrate inside the trombone.

Teachers will help you master this technique and once you have learned how to use a mouthpiece you will be able to turn your hand to a variety of other brass instruments. One of the things that teachers will also help you understand is how the slide of the trombone can be used to vary the pitch of the instrument, or how the valves can be used (if your instrument has them) to change the tone in a method similar to that used by trumpets.
