Description
The Music School ( Wanstead ) started life in 2000 as an electronic
keyboard tuition school run in conjunction with Technics Musical Instruments,
but since then we have cut our ties with Technics and have grown to become an independent music school offering - at
present - lessons for children in piano, guitar and violin as well as electronic
keyboard. As a school, we are passionate
about what we do, and our target is quite simply to provide enjoyable
and inspiring music tuition for children, and for each student to become
the best musician they can while they are with us. We are very fussy
about our teachers – we normally have to interview 20+ teachers before
we decide on the one we feel is right for us. All our staff are highly
qualified and experienced people, but also people who are
generous-spirited and intelligent enough to know the best way to
motivate their students.
We can easily organise grade exams
for those children who wish to take them ( it’s not compulsory ), and
our teachers also use several other methods to offer light-hearted
incentives and targets to students who do not wish to go in for exams.
The target for us as a school is to make students self-motivated enough
to regularly practice their instruments in their own time.
The Music School is owned and managed by Kevin
Moorcraft & Sarah Blyth, who were previously Manager and Assistant
Manager respectively at Britten's Music shop in George Lane, South
Woodford ( East London ). |
