Description
Hailing from Buxton, Derbyshire I began playing guitar back in 1995
when I began studying under popular local guitarist Peter Wrieden, soon
after I started performing live around the pubs, town halls, schools
and fields of the North West.
In
2002 I gained a place at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in
Guildford, Surrey and began 4 years of intense musical study under some
of the world’s most respected musicians including Guthrie Govan (Asia,
The Young Punx), Pete Friesen (Alice Cooper, The Almighty), Dave
Kilminster (Keith Emerson, Roger Waters), Giorgio Serci and Eric Roche.
In 2006 I graduated with a B.A Honours Degree in Contemporary Music
Performance.
Whilst at the ACM
I was regularly performing around the Surrey and London area playing a
wide variety of genres covering everything from rock to funk to blues
to dance. I also contributed to a number of studio recordings for
production students both at the ACM and the Alchemia School of Audio
Engineering in Islington, London.
Now
based back in Derbyshire Kenny I have set up my own private teaching
practice based in Buxton and I still perform around the local area.
Currently I play lead guitar for funk/blues out fit Remedy Krewe!
I also play for pub rock covers band, The Inner Sense, we play a variety of blues/rock classics any upcoming gigs will be advertised on the news page and also on my MySpace.
I am also available for live/studio work in the North-West/Mancchester
area, so if you’re in need of a guitarist/bassist/djembe player and you
like what you see and hear please get in touch!.
You can also hear more examples of my playing on Where With All’s MySpace.
