Euphonium Teachers
Euphonists of the world unite! Here at Just Music Tutors we have compiled a section dedicated to one of the rarest of the brass instruments, the euphonium. The teachers in this website will teach you the intricacies of this instrument that derives its name from the Greek word euphonos that translates as "beautiful sounding/sweet voiced."
Euphonium teachers will often demonstate the more common piston valved version, although rotary valved models do exist they are comparitively rare. Euphonium teachers will also often demonstate a variety of pieces for the instrument from both the bass and treble clef, and in some instances the tenor clef as well.
The euphonium has a very extensive aural range that can reach from beneath the bass clef right through to F six ledger lines above. When working with one of the teachers from our site they will often demonstrate how the gradual sloping tubing creates a far softer tone compared to more harsh instruments such as the trumpet or trombone.
There is a difference between British and American styles of play with this instrument, with the former preferring constant vibrato whilst the latter prefers a more straightforward sound with a slower paced vibrato. Euphonium teachers will be able to teach you a huge amount about the instrument, and we are confident that you will be able to find a number of euphonium teachers perfect for your requirements.
