Cello Teachers

The cello (or violincello to be more precise) is one of the more popular instruments so you will find a large number of teachers on our website who can instruct you in the ways of this beautiful instrument.

The cello has often been described as the instrument with a tone and timbre that most closely matches that of the human voice, and it is tuned in fifths in the same way as a viola, just one octave lower. The teachers on this site will instruct you on the tunings of the instrument along with maintenance and other general instrument skills.

Cello teachers will often teach a curriculum focused around classical music as this is the genre to which the instrument is most closely linked, it is a standard part of any orchestra and features as the bass in a string quartet.
